Social Prescribing

Social prescribing in the Western Pacific region - The Lancet Series

The Lancet Series on Social Prescribing highlights how linking healthcare with community-based, non-clinical supports can address social determinants of health and promote holistic wellbeing. It features Singapore as a regional leader, showcasing initiatives by SingHealth Community Hospitals, the national Community of Practice, and Singapore’s role as the World Health Organization’s first Collaborating Centre for Social Prescribing, aligned with the Healthier SG strategy to support preventive, community-based care.

Singapore Community of Practice in Social Prescribing (SCOMP)

The Singapore Community of Practice in Social Prescribing (SCOMP) is a collaborative network of healthcare professionals, community leaders, and practitioners committed to advancing social prescribing for health and well-being in Singapore. Building on the foundation of best practices in knowledge sharing, community engagement, and inter-sectoral collaboration, SCOMP aims to enhance effectiveness of social prescribing initiatives in Singapore.
