Derring-Do Dance
Derring-Do Dance is a dance, movement, improvisation and performance company led by dance and teaching artists Faye Lim and Bernice Lee. The company’s Rolypoly. Family dance projects and programmes are all about the creative confidence and social-emotional growth of children and families as they express themselves through dance and movement. Their Body Smarts Through Movement Arts programme brings topics such as body awareness, body positivity, body boundaries, consent and body safety skills to children, through age-appropriate movement exercises and games. Together, Faye and Bernice bring their experience in pedagogy, socially-engaged arts, sexuality education, literacy development and impact assessment to support the work of Derring-Do Dance.
Art Fission
Established in 1994, Art Fission is the longest incorporated contemporary dance company in Singapore. Led by Cultural Medallion Recipient Angela Liong, the company is engaged in creating original dance works as well as outreach projects that are informed by Asian aesthetics, cultures and heritage. In their effort to make dance-making accessible, the company has collaborated with healthcare professionals and organisations on developing arts intervention projects to support dementia research. Everyday Waltzes for Active Ageing - a wellbeing movement program – that aims to bring quality of life to frail elderly participants from nursing homes and senior rehab centers is a fine example of the company’s effort.
Decadance Co
Founded in 2019, Decadance Co is a socially conscious contemporary dance company based in Singapore. With the vision to be intergenerational and all-inclusive in all aspects of their work, we are always looking to develop multi-disciplinary works, programmes and experiences that challenges both artists and audiences of the wider community.
